Applications are invited for 35 Fully Funded PhD Scholarships available under TALENT Program at the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement.

SCIENCE research has fundamentally two pillars: Strong Basic Research and Application-oriented
Research that contributes towards growth and employment and solves societal problems, for example Climate Change, Environmental Challenges, Food and Water Safety, Lifestyle DiseasesSustainable Energy Supplies, Biological Production, and IT Security.
The University of Copenhagen stands at number two in EuropeIn, in Horizon 2020, the EU Research and Innovation program (2014-2020), when it comes to attracting Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Actions. To exemplify this, SCIENCE has 128 Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Actions. Furthermore, SCIENCE researchers have received 28 grants from the European Research Council in Horizon 2020. SCIENCE is also host to 12 Centers of Excellence financed by the Danish National Research Foundation. That is why SCIENCE’s research environments have the academic weight to attract researchers at a high international level. This again testifies to the fact that the TALENT program constitutes an extraordinary opportunity for doing a PhD.
The PhD at SCIENCE, in which the TALENT PhD students will be enrolled, has over 1,100 students and more than half of them (50%) come from outside of Denmark, originating from 75 different countries meaning that the PhD environment is highly international and competitive.
