Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) Berlin invites application for a Fully Funded PhD Scholarship to strengthen team in the Division “Environmental Analysis” in Berlin-Adlershof.
Design of a modular system for water quality monitoring with respect to the appearance of pathogenic bacteria (via their DNA) and of medicines’ residues in the framework of the re-search project “Integrated Diagnostics of Contaminants in Water Supply and Management System (IDC-Water)”, funded by German Federal Ministry of Education and Research for our collaboration with a German and an Indian company as well as the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore
– Development of the compartment for enrichment of pharmaceuticals via a system of micro-fluidic immunoaffinity columns as well as a microfluidic, electrochemical immunosensor
– Integration of the compartments, by collaboration with our partners, into a portable platform able to run automatic diagnostic routines
– Research and development in constructing the modules and in validation and demonstration in practice in India and Germany
– Presentation and publication of the results of your research.
