The MAPP Centre at Aarhus University (Denmark) has a three-year PhD position available, from autumn 2018, within the ITN Marie Curie project Edulia (www.edulia.eu),
In this PhD project the candidate will study a diverse set of social (peer-to-peer, family) and marketing influences on children’s (preadolescents’) healthy eating. The goal of the project is to generate recommendations for public health and social marketing campaigns aimed at improving the healthiness of children s eating habits through modification of the social environment and market communication approaches at early and later stages.
We are looking for motivated candidates who can work independently as well as be a part of an international team. The work place will be at the MAPP Centre, Aarhus University in Denmark, but the candidate will be required to spend a 3-month period, currently planned in the Netherlands (Wageningen University) in the second year of the programme, and a period in Kidvertising (Danish Advertising Agency).
- MSc or equivalent within a relevant scientific area (e.g. Marketing, Consumer Sciences, Psychology, Social Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Public Health, Communication)
- Languages: excellent working knowledge (written and oral) of English. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is also highly recommended (oral and written)
- Competence in data analysis tools applied to consumer science
- Experience with consumer research is an advantage
