Nofima AS, Ås, Norway has a three-year position as a PhD research fellow available within the Edulia project (www.edulia.eu), in the Division of Food Science, Department of Sensory, Consumer Sciences and Innovation, from autumn 2018. The candidate to be employed will be enrolled into the PhD study at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU, Campus Ås).
We are looking for motivated candidates who can work independently as well as a part of an international team. The work place will be at Nofima (Ås, Norway), but the candidate will be required to spend a 6-month period at the University of Florence, Italy for collaborative research activities within Edulia, and a 4-month period at industrial partner TINE (Norwegian Dairies Association) for applied research activities. Additional travelling across Europe for various meetings and Conferences will occur.
This PhD project will establish research-based knowledge on preadolescents’ food preferences and sensory perception in the light of their taste sensitivity.
- MSc or equivalent within a relevant scientific area, e.g. Sensory Science, Consumer science, Food Science, Nutrition, Psychology or Marketing.
- Competence in data collection tools and data analysis methods applied to sensory and consumer sciences is an advantage.
- Language skills:
- Excellent working knowledge (reading, writing and oral) in English is a prerequisite.
- Knowledge (oral and written) of a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
